Synthos EPS® RP43W by Synthos Group is a light-weight and free flowing expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade containing reduced level of pentane. Exhibits good mechanical & impact properties, high density, short cycle time & conditioning time. Offers more controllable pre-expansion and short silo maturing times and is adapted to batch expanders. It is insoluble in water and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents & ketones. Can be processed using foaming and high speed injection molding. Synthos EPS® RP43W is recommended for food contact applications, shape molded packaging and thin walled pieces (<10mm). Complies with RoHS, WEEE, EC Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), 1272/2008 (CLP) and (EU) No 453/2010.
