EPS Silver® SR500R by Synthos Group is a free flowing, lightweight, recyclable, non-flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) large block grade containing pentane as the expansion agent and an internal modifier. Exhibits medium to high density, good thermal insulating properties, rigidity & dimensional stability. Can be elastified to obtain excellent acoustic properties while maintaining low thermal conductivity at low densities. It is insoluble in water and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents & ketones. Can be processed using foaming. EPS Silver® SR500R is recommended for shape & block molding applications for making insulation boards. Other applications include contour moldings with a wall thickness >10mm like molded building elements and specialist packaging. Complies with RoHS, WEEE, EC Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), 1272/2008 (CLP) and (EU) No 453/2010.
