EPS Silver® SF400R by Ineos is a free flowing, lightweight, recyclable, expandable polystyrene (EPS) large block grade containing pentane as the expansion agent, polymeric flame retardant as additive and an internal modifier. Exhibits low to medium density, good thermal insulating properties, rigidity & dimensional stability. Can be elastified to obtain excellent acoustic properties while maintaining low thermal conductivity at low densities. It is insoluble in water and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents & ketones. Can be processed using foaming. EPS Silver® SF400R is recommended for shape, block molding applications for making insulation & construction products. Other applications include large contour molding, loose fill cavity wall insulation and elasticized board for impact or airborne sound insulation and floor elements. Complies with RoHS, WEEE, EC Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), 1272/2008 (CLP), (EU) No 453/2010 and DIN4102, Part 1, B1.
