Ocalio™

Supplied bySolvay- Last Updated on Feb 21, 2019

Cellulose acetate. It does not use food resources and is made from wood pulp. Ocalio™ is completely free from phthalates (commonly used plasticizers). It is non-toxic and offers a more sustainable and "greener" bioplastic that is comparable to fossil-based plastics. Ocalio™ out-performs alternative plant-based products in terms of mechanical performance, transparency, heat resistance and processability. It also has both visual and tactile appeal, offering a glossy, silky finish and extraordinary depth of color. Offers high impact- and fracture resistance and good dimensional stability. Used for consumer goods applications such as cosmetic packaging, food packaging, eyeglasses, mobile phones and computer devices.
