EC-439 by SikaAxson is a high temperature, two-component, unfilled epoxy system. It consists of two components resin and hardener. When mixed with fillers, offers the user low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), high deflection temperature (HDT), long work life, good thermal conductivity and high compressive strength. It is suitable for processing by prototype injection molding, resin transfer molding (RTM), LPMC molding, compression molding, vacuum form molding, reaction injection molding (RIM). It can be used at elevated temperatures up to 300°F after post cure. EC-439 can be used as a backing material for nickel-shell tooling or with high temperature surface coats and mass cast applications.
