PEI 1000 is a general-purpose, high performance, colorable polyetherimide grade by ProPolymers. It is an amorphous grade and exhibits low smoke emission. Also exhibits good mechanical-, electrical- and thermal properties. Provides good durability, high strength, processability, rigidity and dimensional stability. Offers good chemical-, alcohol-, creep-, solvent-, heat- and flame resistance. PEI 1000 is sterilizable by steam, X-ray and ethylene oxide. PEI 1000 is used for head lamp reflectors, electrical components, oil & chemical service and medical instruments.
