Akestra™ 100 by Perstrop is an amorphous thermoplastic copolyester. It possesses sparkling glass-like appearance, excellent clarity and excellent hydrolytic stability. It exhibits good mechanical properties, high heat resistance and high strength. Offers higher mechanical flexibility and impact resistance than Akestra™ 110. It is suitable for film & sheet extrusion, blow molding, foams, injection molding and can also be used in co-extrusion & co-injection with polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Akestra™ 100 is used as a polystyrene alternative for heat resistant thin wall containers, a polycarbonate alternative for durable dishwasher proof transparent products and a glass alternative for hot-fill food containers.
