Proxima® HTI 1400 by Materia is a two-part olefin thermoset system with low water absorption and ultra-low viscosity. It is created with proprietary blends of DCPD & other co-monomers and additives. It features heat tolerance & processability of thermoset, excellent impact strength & damage tolerance of thermoplastic, as well as low moisture absorption and corrosion resistance of fluoropolymer. Provides thermal insulation for projects in ultra-deep water applications and subsea reservoirs without resorting to pipe-in-pipe or subsea cooling technology, reducing cost for projects in ultra-deep water. Possible applications include automotive, electrical/ electronics, industrial infrastructure, oil & gas, transportation and wind energy. Suitable for fabrication by reaction injection molding, resin transfer molding, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding and rotomolding. Proxima® HTI 1400 designed to be an alternative for traditional resins including epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins.
