Proxima® HPR 2112 by Materia is a two-part olefin thermoset system having ultra low viscosity and low water absorption. Offers good balance of thermal and mechanical properties, excellent stiffness or modulus, toughness and glass transition temperature. It features heat tolerance & processability of thermoset, excellent impact strength & damage tolerance of thermoplastic, as well as low moisture absorption and corrosion resistance of fluoropolymer. Suitable for fabrication by reaction injection molding, resin transfer molding, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding and rotomolding. Possible applications include automotive, electrical/ electronics, industrial infrastructure, oil & gas, transportation and wind energy. Designed to be an alternative for traditional resins including epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins. Proxima® HPR 2112 is created with proprietary blends of DCPD & other co-monomers and additives.
