Proxima® HPR 2102 is a general-purpose, ultra-low viscosity two-part olefin thermoset system created by Materia with proprietary blends of DCPD & other co-monomers and additives. It features heat tolerance & processability of a thermoset, excellent impact strength & damage tolerance of a thermoplastic, as well as low moisture absorption and corrosion resistance of a fluoropolymer. Offers good balance of thermal & mechanical properties, low water absorption and water like viscosity for easy processing. Suitable for fabrication by reaction injection molding, resin transfer molding, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding and rotomolding. Possible applications include automotive, electrical/ electronics, industrial infrastructure, oil & gas, transportation and wind energy. Proxima® HPR 2102 is designed to be an alternative for traditional resins including epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins.
