Proxima® ACR 4100 by Materia (ExxonMobil) is a two-part olefin thermoset system having ultra-low viscosity. Designed for infusion processes with commercial fabrics based on glass roving and carbon fiber tow. It is created with proprietary blends of DCPD & other co-monomers and additives. Provides laminates exhibiting excellent fracture toughness and low water absorption. It features heat tolerance & processability of thermoset, excellent impact strength & damage tolerance of thermoplastic, as well as low moisture absorption and corrosion resistance of fluoropolymer. Possible applications include automotive, electrical/ electronics, industrial infrastructure, oil & gas, transportation and wind energy. Suitable for fabrication by reaction injection molding, resin transfer molding, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding and rotomolding. Proxima® ACR 4100 is designed to be an alternative for traditional resins including epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins.
