Pearlstick™ 45-80/16

Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 is an elastic, crystalline, linear and aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) grade by Lubrizol, contains small amount of anti-adherent. Offers very long open-time, very low crystallization rate, very low thermoplasticity and good hydrolysis resistance. Exhibits high tenacity, stress-strain power, surface tack and low melting point. Is adequate for bonding processes that do not require heat activation (cold bonding). Soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 is used in the production of adhesives for leather, textiles, rubber and variety of plastics (plasticized PVC & PU elastomers). Addition of polyfunctional isocyanate improves heat-resistance and strength of the joints.
