Mowital® B 60 H by Kuraray is a free-flowing polyvinyl butyral (PVB) grade. It exhibits low viscosity, heat-seals, good adhesion to glass & metals, toughness and elasticity influenced by molecular weight.
- Provides properties like solubility, light and water resistance in non-polar solvents which depend upon the degree of acetalization.
- It has the ability to bond to metal, ceramics and other inorganic materials.
- It shows optical clarity in film form, and low environmental impact as a polymer made from carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
- It is soluble in many organic solvents and alcohol.
- It is compatible with plasticizers, phenolic, epoxide, melamine resins and other resins/plastics, depending on composition.
- It can be cross-linked with phenol resins, epoxy resins and isocyanate through the hydroxyl group.
- In Mowital® B 60 H, melt-molding is possible due to thermoplastic processing and has a shelf life of 12 months.
