Mowital® B 30 H by Kuraray is a free-flowing polyvinyl butyral (PVB) grade. It exhibits low viscosity, heat-seals above 120°C, good adhesion to glass & metals, toughness and elasticity influenced by molecular weight.
- It provides solubility, light and water resistance in non-polar solvents which depend upon the degree of acetalization. It has the ability to bond to metal, ceramics and other inorganic materials.
- It shows optical clarity in film form, and low environmental impact as a polymer made from carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. It is soluble in many organic solvents & alcohol.
- It is used in manufacturing of pigment concentrates & preparations, plasticizers, phenolic, epoxide, melamine resins and other resins/plastics, depending on composition. It can be cross-linked with phenol resins, epoxy resins and isocyanate through the hydroxyl group.
- It is suitable for processing by melt-molding.
- Mowital® B 30 H has a shelf life of 12 months.
