EVAL™ L171B by Kuraray is ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. It has very low ethylene content and a transparent package for content visibility. It exhibits chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity compared with aluminum foil. It has excellent barrier properties against the permeation of gases including oxygen. It shows minimal absorption of solvents and blocks solvents & chemical substances. It possesses a good barrier for flavor and aroma preservation. EVAL™ L171B is suitable as an ultra-high barrier grade in the inflexible bottle, sheet and industrial film packaging applications.
