EVAL™ H171B by Kuraray is ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. It has high-barrier properties, higher ethylene content that allows easier processing and longer running times on older co-extrusion equipment, especially for blown flexible structures. It offers thermoformability and a transparent package for content visibility. It exhibits chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity compared with aluminum foil. It has excellent barrier properties against the permeation of gases including oxygen. It shows minimal absorption of solvents and blocks solvents & chemical substances. It possesses a good barrier for flavor and aroma preservation. EVAL™ H171B is used in industrial film, sheets, bottles and tube applications.
