EVAL™ C109B by Kuraray is ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer available as a water-insoluble white, straw-colored or transparent pellets. It imparts a transparent package for content visibility. It exhibits chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity compared with aluminum foil. It has excellent barrier properties against the permeation of gases including oxygen. It shows minimal absorption of solvents and blocks solvents & chemical substances. It can be processed by injection molding and co-extrusion coating. EVAL™ C109B by Kuraray possesses a good barrier for flavor and aroma preservation. It is soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide. It can be used for cast flexible applications. It is applicable in food packaging and monolayer films for lamination.
