VESTAMID® LX9050 OR

VESTAMID® LX9050 OR by Evonik is a polyamide 12 (PA 12) designed for the fire protection of busbars in high-voltage batteries of electric vehicles against electrical breakdown. It contains halogen-free fire protection additives and RAL 2003 signal orange. It exhibits the highest flame retardancy and excellent insulating properties up to 1000V and above. Offers excellent adhesion to the metal core. It is suitable for processing by extrusion and injection molding. Due to its high elasticity, the coated busbars can be shaped very well after extrusion and even bent with small radii without losing the protective effect of the VESTAMID® insulation. VESTAMID® LX9050 OR can also be used in manufacturing other components for automotive electrics or for the electrical industry. The RAL 2003 orange signal color indicates permanently the high-voltage application and bushbars insulated with it can be used at elevated operating temperatures up to 125°C. It complies with UL 94 V-0 flame rating.
