Selar® PA 2072 by DuPont is an amorphous polyamide (PA) grade. Shows excellent optical properties, high degree of stiffness, excellent gloss & clarity and superior transparency. Exhibits good barrier properties to gases, water, solvents & essential oils and high temperature structural properties. Offers high melt viscosity for extrusion processes such as EBM. Shows improved performance in shrink applications when blended with nylon 6. It can be processed using injection molding, blow molding and extrusion coating. Helps in the modification of EVOH for broader thermoforming window. Used in monolayer (blow molded tubes and pharmaceutical vials or bottles, typically less than 4 ounces) providing a "glass like" container for rigid packaging. Suitable for flexible and rigid packaging applications. Selar® PA 2072 by DuPont complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1500(a) (12) and (b) (12) regulations.
