DOW CORNING® C6-530 by DuPont is a non-blooming, heat cured, platinum-catalyzed (1:1 by weight) class VI elastomer liquid silicone rubber. It is a solvent-free, pigmentable, cost-effective grade available as a two-part kit. It can be post cured. Consists of cross-linked dimethyl & methyl-vinyl siloxane copolymers and reinforcing silica. It does not contain peroxides & by-products, chlorophenyls or PCBs, organic plasticizers, phthalates or latex additives. Exhibits easy processing and good batch-to-batch consistency. DOW CORNING® C6-530 by DuPont is recommended for medical devices and component fabrication including those implanted in humans for up to 29 days. Complies with US FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) Class V, USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) Class VI and ISO 10993-1 for surface devices. Also meets with EP (European Pharmacopoeia) Monograph 3.1.9 closures and tubing tested for volatile matter and substances soluble in hexane & USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) for cytotoxicity and skin sensitization.
