DOW CORNING® C6-150 is a platinum-catalyzed (1:1 by weight), heat cured class VI rubber silicone elastomer. It is a cost-effective, non-blooming, pigmentable grade available as a two-part kit. Consists of cross-linked dimethyl & methyl-vinyl siloxane copolymers and reinforcing silica. It can be post cured. It does not contain peroxides & by-products, chlorophenyls or PCBs, organic plasticizers, phthalates or latex additives. Exhibits non-tacky surface and high batch-to-batch consistency. Suitable for processing by extrusion. DOW CORNING® C6-150 is recommended for medical device and component fabrication including those implanted in humans for 29 days. Conforms to US FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) Class V, USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) Class VI and ISO 10993-1 for surface devices. Complies with EP (European Pharmacopoeia) Monograph 3.1.9 closures and tubing tested for volatile matter and substances soluble in hexane & USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) tested for cytotoxicity and skin sensitization.
