APPEEL™ 53070 Peelable Resin

APPEEL™ 53070 Peelable Resin by Dow is a modified ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer resin containing amides for slip and chill roll release. It is used as a sealant in general flexible packaging for snacks and confectionery. It acts as a heat seal layer in lidding material for injection molded and vacuum molded plastic containers, especially HIPS and PS in the packaging of yogurts, jams, butter and other food items. It is used to seal to paper, paperboard, woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, wood- and photographic papers. It also offers peelable seals to PE, PP, PS and rigid PVC. APPEEL™ 53070 Peelable Resin provides high transparency, boiling resistance and low temperature heat seals with adequate seal strength. It is suitable for processing by conventional extrusion, coextrusion, coating and lamination. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1350, EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE), EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and conforms to CONEG & EU Directive 94/62/EC.
