APPEEL™ 53021 Peelable Resin by Dow is a modified ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer resin. It functions as a sealing layer for lidding applications. It offers high transparency, low temperature heat seals with adequate seal strength, and heat sealability to various materials including PE, PP, PS and rigid PVC. It is used in general flexible packaging for snacks and confectionery. It is also recommended for injection molded and vacuum molded plastic containers, especially HIPS and PS in the packaging of yogurts, jams, butter and other food items. It can also be sealed to paper, paperboard, woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, wood and photographic papers. APPEEL™ 53021 Peelable Resin is suitable for processing by conventional extrusion, coextrusion, coating and lamination. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1), EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE), EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and conforms to CONEG & EU Directive 94/62/EC.
