AFFINITY™ PL 1888Q Polyolefin Plastomer by Dow is a polyolefin plastomer (POP) resin. It is used for high-speed packaging applications that require a low seal initiation temperature and excellent machinability. It is designed to run fast and trouble-free on most extrusion equipment, including blown film dies.
- It offers low consistent coefficient of friction (COF) of less than 0.2 for a ~1.0 mil sealant layer in a coextruded film.
- It is suitable for use in monolayer films and as the sealant layer in multilayer films.
- It is ideal for packaging of fresh-cut produce, meat, cheese, and other applications.
- AFFINITY™ PL 1888Q Polyolefin Plastomer enables fast processing even on narrow die gaps.
- It contains 3000 ppm antiblock and 1500 ppm slip additives to enhance performance.
- It complies with U.S. FDA FCN 424, EU No 10/2011 and Canadian HPFB No Objection.
