Rinnovo™ 3HP H1000 XP by Danimer Scientific is a compostable, high molecular weight poly(3-hydroxypropionate), a homopolymer of beta-propiolactone. It is synthesized from lactones produced using Danimer's proprietary Novo22™ catalyst technology. It is an aliphatic polyester that is stable and easily transportable.
  • It offers excellent oxygen barrier properties and reduced environmental impact.
  • It shows good mechanical and physical properties that makes it suitable for packaging films and other thermoplastic applications.
  • It can be recycled and processed to form acrylic acid using a lower energy intensity thermolysis process.
  • Potential applications include agricultural films and waste collection.
  • Rinnovo™ 3HP H1000 XP is biodegradable under the standards of EN 13432 and ASTM 6400.
