FORTRON® 1140L0 SF3001 NATURAL by Celanese is a linear, semicrystalline, flame retardant polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) grade reinforced with 40% glass fiber. Is relatively impermeable to gases, hydrocarbons and other liquids compared to other materials. Provides high dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, low shrinkage, excellent mechanical properties, creep resistance at high temperatures, high continuous use temperature (160°C to 240°C) and very low moisture absorption. Offers high hardness and rigidity at elevated temperatures allowing good load bearing performance. Exhibits good weldability, good electrical properties and excellent resistance to corrosion, hydrolysis, oxidation, heat and paraffin buildup. Shows excellent chemical resistance to all solvents below 200°C, acids, bases, typical and alternative automotive fuels and petroleum fluids at elevated temperatures. FORTRON® 1140L0 SF3001 NATURAL can be processed by injection molding and extrusion. Is suitable for lead-free soldering and metal replacement applications. Used to produce rods and slabs. Complies with RoHS, PFOS and PFOA regulations.
