Cardia Biohybrid™ H-BM by Cardia Bioplastics is a blend of thermoplastic starch (TPS) with polyolefin. It offers a high level of mechanical strength, outstanding elongation properties and toughness. It is formulated with 50% of renewable thermoplastic starch polymer. It is suitable for a wide range of products manufactured by injection molding, extrusion or blow molding processes. Due to its content of polyolefins the material is not a fully biodegradable polymer and is not intended for ultimate disposal in commercial composting facilities. Cardia Biohybrid™ H-BM is used in blow molding of jars, multi-layer containers and bottles.
