MPU 100 by Carbon is a biocompatible, sterilizable and durable medical polyurethane (TPU) grade. It is a two component material that produces isotropic parts with fine features. It offers mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Shows compatibility with ethylene oxide-, e-beam- and gamma sterilization methods and also common disinfectants. It passes cytotoxicity testing post-sterilization. It is suitable for medical products and devices, consumer health care products and drug contact applications. The applications includes covers, guards, adapters, skin contact applications (prosthetics), single-use surgical instruments (handles, guides, trials), inhalers, auto-injectors, pill bottles and single use bioprocessing devices. MPU 100 passes USP-VI and ISO 10993-5 and -10 biocompatibility testing.
