X_Butyl® BB 2040 by ARLANXEO is a non-staining, brominated isobutylene-isoprene copolymer grade. It exhibits very low permeability to gases & liquids and excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, oil & heat. It offers high hysteresis for energy absorption, high damping, good low-temperature flexibility and resistance to acidic & basic chemicals. It shows a fast reversion-resistant cure and excellent aging properties. X_Butyl® BB 2040 is used in adhesives, tire, medical and consumer goods applications. It is also recommended for industrial, automotive and building/construction applications.
