THERBAN® 3406 is a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) copolymer by Arlanxeo. It has less than 1% of residual double bonds. It is cost-efficient, non-staining, versatile and sustainable alternative to metal chain drivers. Offers longer service life, strength and exceptional durability. Provides very good resistance to abrasion, compression set behavior, ozone, non-polar hydrocarbons, heat, fuel, chemicals, technical oils and extreme temperatures (-40°C to 165°C). It is vulcanized with peroxides or high-energy radiation. The cross-linking co-agent optimizes physical properties of both un-aged and aged vulcanizates. Moreover, it is soluble in MEK and insoluble in cold water. THERBAN® 3406 is used in mechanical engineering, automotive, railway, aerospace and oil industries.
