Vijay Mannari is an accomplished researcher, gifted instructor, and experienced consultant in the field of Paints and Coatings. After obtaining his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Sardar Patel University in India, he worked for Akzo Nobel (erstwhile ICI Paints) in a variety of leadership roles. After immigration to the USA, he served as a Professor and Director of the Coating Research Institute of Eastern Michigan University, where he established a rigorous research program that focused on advanced polymeric materials for sustainable coatings and thin films.
His research and expertise encompass areas of water-borne coatings, UV-cure systems, Polyurethane coatings, Bio-based polyols, and organic-inorganic hybrid systems based on sol-gel technology, including novel UV-initiated sol-gel systems for advanced applications. He has published 60+ peer-reviewed journal articles, 10 U.S. Patents, and presented at many national and international conferences. He also served many professional societies and associations in leadership positions. Currently, he is the president of Crenovative Solutions LLC, which provides consulting services in the CASE industry space.
