UniProtect® 1,2-OD

Caprylyl Glycol. UniProtect® 1,2-OD by Uniproma Chemical is a preservative synergistic ingredient that acts as a preservative, humectant and emollient. It is a derivative of caprylic acid, safe and non-toxic for topical use. It offers thickening and foam-stabilizing properties.

• It serves as a preservative enhancer with antibacterial properties that inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi to prevent harmful microorganisms from proliferating in cosmetic products.
• It can be used as an alternative to parabens, nipagin esters or other undesirable preservatives.
• It also acts as a moisturizer used to improve the hydration level of the skin and helps to maintain moisture, making the skin feel soft, smooth, and plump.
