Heptadecane. CasEmol 17 by Thomas Swan is readily biodegradable paraffinic calming emollient and sensory enhancer. It is an ultra-high purity linear alkane hydrocarbon. It sits between CasEmol 12 and heavier agents like CasEmol 22, with a longer skin residence time than CasEmol 14 but lighter feel than CasEmol 18. It is non-greasy yet rich enough to support barrier recovery.
