Wasabi Extract

Lactobacillus/Wasabia Japonica Root Ferment Extract. Wasabi Extract by The Herbarie acts as a powerful antioxidant, antimicrobial and soothing agent. It is obtained from the roots of wasabia japonica plant. It contains oxido-reductases (peroxidases, superoxide dismutase and sinigrin), isocyanates and glucosinolates. Superoxide dismutase in conjunction with peroxidase scavenges and neutralizes superoxide and peroxide radicals which contribute to premature aging. Whereas, sinigrin directly inhibits oxidative reactions in DNA and allyl isothiocyanate shows antimicrobial characteristics. Wasabi Extract finds application in formulating facial cleansers & toners, anti-aging preparations, creams, lotions, hair color retentions and anti-inflammatory products.
