Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract (10-12%) & Polymethyl Methacrylate (60-78%) & BHT (2-5%) & Tricaprylin(10-25%). Acts as a lightening / whitening agent, as anti-inflammatory agent and as an anti-acne agent. Its microcapsules are loaded with 10% licorice extract, enable optimal isolation of the licorice extract with unique release on demand™ (RND™) technology which ensures licorice essential delivery. Tagranat™ Licorice1 microcapsules shell is made of a single layer polymer which ensures protection from light, temperature, pH and other oxidizing agents in cosmetic formulations. Also exhibits other properties such as antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, antimicrobial, antiviral and regenerating / revitalizing. The major active components of Licorice are glycyrrhizin, a triterpenoid glycoside and glabridin an isoflavonoid. Glabridin is one of the safest and most gentle whitening agents with minimal side effects and only minor irritation therefore, commonly used in patients suffering from hyperpigmentation. Glabridin whitening activity attributed to its ability to inhibit melanin synthesis by inhibiting tyrosine activity of melanocytes.
