Beeswax DR-100

Supplied byStrahl & Pitsch- Last Updated on Jul 6, 2015

Cera Alba. Beeswax acts as a binder, emulsifier and consistency agent. It is derived from honeybees. Beeswax helps to keep an emulsion from separating into its oil and liquid components, especially products that require a creamy consistency. Beeswax increases the thickness of the lipid (oil) portion of solid and stick-like products giving them structure, allowing for a smooth application, and keeping them solid. It stiffens but does not harden the product and the flexibility and plasticity of the wax facilitates application. Beeswax is compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes and a large variety of natural and synthetic resins. Used in various cosmetics and personal care applications.
