Piroctone Olamine. SpecKare® PO by Spec-Chem Industry is a safe, non-toxic and non-irritating, anti-dandruff active that calms irritated scalps and lessens flaking. It is a strong, formaldehyde-free, paraben-free, broad range anti-microbial that eliminates unpleasant odor.
  • Piroctone Olamine has replaced zinc pyrithione in shampoo and conditioner due to EU regulations forbidding the latter within cosmetics in late 2021.
  • It increases main hair shaft thickness, decreases the sebum output at the skin surface and is suitable for anti-acne applications as well as volume-up formula.
  • It is anti-pruritic with good surfactant solubility and thickening shampoo system.
  • It can be used with most cationic surfactants and cationic active ingredients.
  • Designed for deodorants, soap, hair maintenance, and hair care products.
  • The dosage ranges from 0.5% to 1.0%.
  • It is certified with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 and (EC) No 1272/2008.
  • SpecKare® PO has 3 years of shelf life.
