Silsurf® B608

PEG-8 Dimethicone. Silsurf® B608 by Siltech is used as an emulsifier, surface wetting agent, non-foaming surfactant and surface tension reducing agent in aqueous solution. It is self-emulsifying grade. It is recommended for various personal care. It is used to prepare stable oil-in-water or silicone-in-water emulsions and to enhance wetting. It can be used as secondary emulsifier to further stabilize an emulsion. It provides softness and shine/gloss enhancement to hair and detangling for wet hair. It also provides hydrophilicity and improved heat stability. It can lower the surface tension of a solution to the low 20 mN/m range & interfacial tensions. Silsurf® B608 offers conditioning to skin & hair. It also offers improved wetting, flow and leveling. It is effective at very low levels and shows excellent compatibilities in most solvents. The shelf life of the product is 36 months when stored under original, unopened containers between 10-40°C.
