Northstar Lipids-Refined Wheatgerm Oil

Triticum aestivum germ extract. Acts as an emollient. It is a pale yellow to yellow oil with a slight but characteristic odor and flavor. It is produced using the lipids extracted from Wheatgerm followed by refining and further processing as required. This oil is a good nutritional source of the EFA, Linoleic Acid (a precursor to GLA), but due to the refining process it does not contain the same high levels of natural tocopherols found in the unrefined oil. It is an ideal for dry skin applications whether applied 'as is' or in a cream formulation @ 5% or better.
