
Trihydroxystearin. RHEOBYK® -7590 PC by BYK is an organic rheology additive based on a natural castor oil derivative for oil phases. It can be used as an emollient, conditioning agent and water repellent. It stabilizes pigments in suspensions and improves the thermal stability of waxy formulations. It is translucent when dissolved and produces a very soft skin-feel, resulting in appealing sensory properties.
- It thickens medium- to low-polar or aliphatic solvents (especially typical cosmetic oils), to stabilize water-in-oil emulsions and to regulate the flow behavior.
- It is recommended for use in creams and lotions, sunscreen products, hair styling range, lipsticks, lip gloss, liquid makeup, pressed powder and antiperspirants/deos.
- RHEOBYK® -7590 PC is REACH registered, vegan, Ecocert, COSMOS and Natrue approved.
