Polyglyceryl-10 Eicosanedioate /Tetradecanedioate Esters (and)Glycerin. Acts as an emollient. It is the polyester of polyglyceryl-10 and a mixture of eicosanedioic and tetradecanedioic acids. The unique polymeric structure consists of alternating hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, which results in the material being compatible with both oil- and water-based formulations. It increases the moisture content of the stratum corneum with successive applications and is thereby superior to glycerin. Possesses water-holding and water barrier properties on skin and hair and reduces the sticky feeling of glycerin. Improves skin hydration and provides supple & smooth feeling for hair care. It is compatible with water at any ratio. Used in skin care, make-up, hair care and styling applications.
