It offers barrier function and water holding property. It is similar to essential intercellular lipids. This sterol ester possesses excellent liquid crystal forming properties and high melting point. It improves the formability of wax. Ecolano™ LC-CN is used in skin care and make-up products. It can be used as a quasi-drug product. It is listed in IECIC 2014.
