Silsoft™ 876 fluid

PEG-12 Dimethicone. Silsoft™ 876 fluid by Momentive Performance Materials acts as a dispersant and emulsifier. It can be used as a wetting agent for pigments and particulate UV filter to introduce materials into the water phase. It is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and polyethylene/polypropylene-oxide. It provides emulsification and dispersion of actives.

• It offers solubility in water and short-chain alcohols.
• It provides light conditioning in shampoos, small bubble size, richness in foam, flexible hold and rinseability in hair.
• Silsoft™ 876 fluid is used in bath and shower products, skin care products such as body lotions and creams, and hair care products such as conditioners.
