Mandelic Acid. MacDerma™ MA by McKinley Resources is a mild exfoliant, anti-acne and antibacterial agent. It is extracted from the bitter almond and is alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA). It speeds up the cellular turnover rate & makes the skin to get rid of dead cells. It penetrates the epidermis more slowly and uniformly because of its large size which makes it ideal for sensitive skin types such as rosacea with severe acne and pigmentation. It can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. It is a great alternative to steroids and hydroquinone for the treatment of hyperpigmentation. It is suitable for all skin types and complexions. MacDerma™ MA is used in chemical peels, cleaners, face washes, moisturizers and eye lift creams.
