Lauryl Laurate (100%). Lauryl Laurate by MakingCosmetics is a plant-based, low-molecular weight multi-functional emollient (mono-ester). It is produced by esterification of fatty alcohols. It also acts as a film-former, skin-penetrating- and slip agent for anhydrous systems. It has low melting point which helps to increase the stability of cosmetics. It reduces greasy feel of oil systems and can replace ester oils in cosmetic formulas. It provides a silicone like after-feel. It enhances whiteness in creams & lotions as well as improves emulsion stability and payoff characteristics (in lipsticks). Lauryl Laurate is used in pomades, salve, ointments, eye shadows, pencil & stick cosmetics, hot pour make-up, hair care products and antiperspirants. It is preservative-free and vegan certified. The shelf life is 24 months.
