Coco-Caprylate/Caprate (100%). Coco Caprylate Caprate by MakingCosmetics is an ester of natural fatty alcohol, caprylic acid and capric acid. It is 100% derived from natural, renewable feedstock. It has unique chemical composition and chain length distribution, making it much lighter than traditional grades of coco caprylate/caprate esters. It acts as a highly stable, fast spreading & low-greasiness emollient that imparts very light skin feel. It is an excellent alternative to dimethicone & other silicones/other synthetic emollients esters. It can be combined with powders and colorants to enhance their solubility. It leaves a pleasant, invisible film on the skin that provides long-term hydration after application. It is a very useful solubilizing crystalline solvent of UV filter for sun care products. Coco Caprylate Caprate is widely used in skin & hair care for "oil-free products" and as dispersing agent for pigments in color cosmetics. It is GMO- & preservative-free and vegan certified. The shelf life is 36 months.
