It is 50% sodium salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA) in water and a key component of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF). Provides a moisturized and powdery soft feeling to skin and hair. Also offers anti-bacterial properties. It is soluble in water, compatible with a wide range of raw materials and stable over wide pH and temperature ranges. Lincare™ PCA is also used in oral care products.
