Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride. KY-286-N by Kiyu New Material acts as a cationic surfactant, restoring, conditioning and thickening agent. It displays a distinct affinity to the hair and imparts softness & suppleness. Moreover, it supplements hair, enables ease of detangling and prevents the hair from becoming statically charged. In emulsions & suspensions, it increases consistency and improves stability. It is incorporated as a treatment & anti-static medium, either on its own or in combination with other additives such as various quaternary ammonium compounds. Moreover, it is compatible with anionic surfactants such as fatty alcohol, sulfates and ether sulfates. KY-286-N is used to formulate shampoos, conditioners and hair care treatment products. It has a storage life of 24 months.
