SeraSense® RB 22

Cyclopentasiloxane and Trimethylsiloxysilicate. SeraSense® RB 22 by KCC Basildon (Momentive) acts as an emollient, film former and anti-frizz agent. It is a blend of volatile cyclopentasiloxane fluid and a cross-linked trimethylsiloxysilicate resin, which promotes pigment adhesion property with a dry matt finish in color and decorative cosmetics. As it is very hydrophobic, it improves the durability and substantivity of personal care formulations. It imparts wash-off resistance, excellent anti-frizz property, good adhesion of active ingredients and spreading of other formulation ingredients leading to improved homogeneity. Moreover, it forms a water & humidity resistant, breathable and protective films, with a soft and non-tacky skin feel. It is easily diluted in standard dimethicone and cyclic silicone fluids. SeraSense® RB 22 finds application in formulating color cosmetics, sun-care products, anti-frizz conditioners & treatments and hairstyling serums & leave-in conditioners.
