Sodium Surfactin. KANEKA Surfactin is a biosurfactant made by fermentation technology from culture broth of Bacillus subtilis. It is 3000 time more effective than lecithin with low irritation potential. It has hydrophilic cyclic peptide part constructed by seven amino acids and a hydrophobic hydrocarbon part. It is unstable in acidic to weak alkaline conditions. Used in cosmetics and personal care products. KANEKA Surfactin is ECOCERT and COSMOS approved.
